Superyacht – Project 821 Breakthrough
On May 4, 2024, Feadship unveiled its groundbreaking Project 821 – now known as Breakthrough – the world’s first superyacht to run entirely on hydrogen fuel cells. At 118.80 meters in length, it is not only the largest yacht ever launched in the Netherlands, but also proof that zero-emission power in maritime luxury has become a reality.
One of the most iconic features is the 8.2-meter-long infinity pool with counterflow and a movable glass bottom, located on the aft deck. This pool provides the perfect setting for the integration of EVA Optic’s innovative EVAstream. Even within the limited space of a superyacht, this system offers a comprehensive swimming experience comparable to that of an Olympic-sized pool.
Breakthrough is renowned worldwide for its green technology, from cryogenic hydrogen tanks and fuel cells to advanced waste heat recovery for the pool, jacuzzi, and even underfloor heating. The EVAstream adds a functional innovation that enhances both athletic performance and relaxation.
