Patented hybrid technology
A counter-current swimming machine creates a water current that you swim against, allowing you to stay in one place. This enables you to swim continuously and freely even in a smaller pool.
EVAstream combines an in-house developed propeller with three overlapping blades with a narrowed turbine tunnel. The propeller displaces a large volume of water and builds pressure at low RPM. The turbine-shaped tunnel concentrates the flow and narrows toward the outlet, accelerating the water. This creates a broad, powerful current that reaches far into the pool. For a spacious swimming zone where you can swim freely.
The combination of the in-house developed propeller and the narrowed turbine tunnel is internationally patented.
THE PRINCIPLE
Water displacement is expressed in m³/h and tells how much water a swimming machine displaces. Flow speed is expressed in m/s and tells how fast that water flows. But the width and reach of the current also determine how you experience the counter-current while swimming.
EVAstream is developed to combine these properties. The propeller displaces a large volume of water and builds pressure. The turbine-shaped tunnel concentrates the flow and narrows toward the outlet, accelerating the water. This keeps the current broad and powerful and allows it to reach far into the pool.

Compared to a regular installation
High water displacement does not automatically mean high flow speed. The way the water is displaced, concentrated and accelerated also determines the final swimming current.
The EVAstream 225 displaces 225 m³/u and reaches a flow speed of 5.5 m/s. That is the same EVAstream that is compared in the image. The in-house developed propeller displaces a large volume of water and builds pressure, while the narrowed turbine tunnel concentrates and accelerates the flow. With the EVAstream 350, the flow speed increases to 8.6 m/s at 350 m³/h.
This way, EVAstream combines a high flow speed with a broad, powerful current that reaches far into the pool.
The misconception
EVAstream does not accelerate the water by compressing it into a narrow jet, like a jetstream. The current remains broad.
The turbine-shaped tunnel concentrates the flow and narrows gradually toward the outlet. This allows the EVAstream 350 to reach a flow speed of 8.6 m/s at 350 m³/h water displacement, without losing the broad character of the current.
Because of this, you do not feel a narrow, hard water jet, but a broad and powerful swimming current that completely surrounds your body and provides even counter-pressure.

For the swimmer
Through the narrowed turbine tunnel, the flow is concentrated and accelerated and reaches further into the pool. This ensures a natural swimming position, an extra spacious swimming zone and a directed flow that completely surrounds your body.
You are automatically placed in a stable, natural swimming position. The water flow is directed at your upper body instead of your head, with sufficient breathing space and without bothersome splashing water.
Because the counter-current reaches further into the pool, a spacious swimming zone is created with more room to accelerate and decelerate without touching the edge. With the EVAstream 450 and 550, two outlet units provide an even wider swimming zone.
The flow does not spread out directly after the outlet, but remains broad and sufficiently concentrated to completely surround your body. This creates even counter-pressure across your body and allows you to make optimal use of the counter-current.
The current holds you up and creates a more spacious swimming zone.
The sound
A powerful swimming current does not have to make much noise. EVAstream is developed for low RPM and minimal vibration, so the technology stays in the background as much as possible while swimming.
The noise level of EVAstream was independently measured by a Swiss acoustic firm. At a water displacement of 215 m³/h, 29 dB was measured, comparable to rustling leaves in a gentle breeze. Another counter-current swimming machine was measured under the same conditions at 52 dB, comparable to a running washing machine.
The in-house developed propeller with three overlapping blades displaces a large volume of water and builds pressure at low RPM. Fewer revolutions means less mechanical noise and less vibration. Precise balancing of the moving parts helps further reduce vibration.
This way, you hear mainly the water, not the technology behind it.
FOR EXISTING POOLS
For existing pools we developed the EVAstream Move: a wireless, battery-powered swimming machine that you place in the pool yourself. The same patented turbine technology as the built-in EVAstream, but portable and without construction work.

EVA SYSTEM TOOL
Enter the dimensions of your pool and see for each EVAstream model how the swimming zone works out and what light output is needed as a minimum. That way you know what is possible before you sit down with your pool builder. For water displacement and current speed per model, see the EVAstream models and specifications.
Within the EVA System the EVAstream swimming machine, underwater lighting and controls work together as one system in your pool. How do you want to use your pool?
Swim freely in your own pool, whenever you want. In the evening too, thanks to the optional EVAsubaqua underwater lighting.
TEST SWIM
Experience for yourself what the EVA System does to a pool. Feel the current, see the light in the water, and swim a workout in which the light guides you through it.
