Waltham Abbey Leisure Centre is a compact and modern sports facility that includes a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, a learner pool, an 80-station fitness suite, sauna and steam rooms, two multi-purpose studios, a spin studio, café, and viewing area. Designed with efficiency in mind, the centre has one of the lowest circulation percentages of any UK leisure facility (just 4.8%) and is fully compliant with Sport England standards. A green roof over the pool hall complements the natural surroundings of the adjacent parkland.
EVAline LED lighting has been installed in the pool hall, providing high-performance, energy-efficient illumination with excellent visual comfort and safety. The lighting design enhances the overall swimming experience while contributing to the building’s sustainability goals.
The Waltham Abbey project is an excellent example of how smart lighting from EVA Optic enhances both the overall experience and the sustainability of modern leisure facilities.
